About Michael Goodwin
Michael A. Goodwin is a lifelong third-generation educator who first served as an administrator and English instructor at Kennesaw State University, before starting his second act as a language arts and social studies teacher at Mill Springs Academy. Michael is also a published author, game designer, former theater kid, and mentor for other creative writers. Outside of work, he enjoys reading, writing, storytelling, playing board games, cooking decadent meals, exotic travel, and adventures with his beloved wife Julie. As a neurodivergent educator who has raised neurodivergent children, Michael firmly believes in meeting all students where they are, while never giving up on their potential to be more.

About Hannah Parmer
Hannah joined the staff as behavior specialist and auxiliary program coordinator of Bright Path Academy in February 2023. She comes to us with several years of experience in the field of behavioral therapy. Prior to her arrival at Bright Path, she served almost four years at Therapyland. Hannah earned her undergraduate degree at West Georgia University in Carrollton, Georgia, and her master’s degree in special education with an emphasis in ABA from Arizona State University. Currently she is preparing to take her national board exams to complete the requirements as a board-certified behavioral analyst.
Hannah has a gregarious personality, a compassionate heart, and a genuine belief that every child has the capacity for growth and success in life. When she is not directly working with students, planning summer camps or after-school opportunities, or working on other special projects for Bright Path, Hannah enjoys college football (she is a fan of the University of Alabama Crimson Tide), hanging out with her dog, a German Shepherd-Labrador mix Tinley, and spending time with her family.

About Sarah Skoke
Sarah Skoke was born and raised in Atlanta, GA. She graduated from Georgia State University with a bachelor's in English and a master's of teaching in secondary education. She currently holds a master's level teaching certification for the state of Georgia as well as a special education certification.
Ms. Skoke has been teaching for seven years and has taught in the Henry County School District, Atlanta Public Schools District, and Cumberland Academy. Cumberland Academy specializes in autism spectrum disorders. Sarah’s notable achievements include a 90% pass rate on the ninth grade milestone at a Title I school, spearheading “Teaching and Learning Across the Curriculum” for faculty at Henry County Schools, leading professional development for standardized testing, and writing the ELA curriculum for Cumberland Academy.
In her spare time Sarah loves reading and being outside in nature. She is ecstatic to have this amazing opportunity at Bright Path Academy and cannot wait to see what this year has to offer.
